PERINATAL THERAPY IN PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA
The pressure of a demanding career doesn't stop just because you have a baby. For women that want to (or have to) continue working, this time can lead to deep stress, feeling overwhelmed, or even clinical anxiety and depression. I provide a private, supportive space to help you manage anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, and obsessive compulsive disorder.
Individual Perinatal Therapy for Working & Career-Driven Moms
Learn more about how we can address some of the most common issues that Moms are dealing with today…
Perinatal Anxiety & Perfectionism
Perinatal anxiety doesn’t always look like panic; for capable, high-output women, it usually looks like perfectionism. It’s the belief that if you just research long enough, track the sleep windows precisely enough, and micromanage every variable, you can keep your baby safe and your life under control. You aren’t falling apart—you are over-functioning. You are running yourself ragged trying to treat the messy, unpredictable reality of a newborn like a project you can successfully manage if you just work harder.
We work together to quiet the constant mental running, ease the crushing weight of perfectionism, and help you find a sense of grounded calm, even when you can't control the outcome.
Postpartum Depression & The Identity Shift
We’ve been told that postpartum depression is a feeling, but for many, it is the total absence of one. It is the eerie sensation of watching a stranger live your life. You look at your old career, your old clothes, and your new baby, and none of it feels like yours. You've lost your identity and sense of what you want and need.
In therapy, we hold space for the grief of your old life while actively rebuilding the rocked pillars of your mental health (like sleep, regulation, time for yourself, community, and nutrition) so you can rediscover a version of yourself that feels whole and capable again.
Intrusive Thoughts & Perinatal OCD
You can follow twenty maternal mental health accounts on Instagram and know intellectually that intrusive thoughts are common. But when your brain hands you a vivid, terrifying image of your baby falling down the stairs, that intellectual knowledge evaporates. In therapy, we will work through these intrusive thoughts with approaches that allow you to move through them instead of fixate on them.
As a certified perinatal mental health specialist (from Postpartum Support International), I provide a safe, zero-judgment space to unpack these exact concerns. We use evidence-based frameworks to help you understand these thoughts for what they actually are (a symptom of an overwhelmed brain AND NOT not a reflection of your character) and give you the tools to significantly reduce their power.
FREE GUIDE FOR HIGH-ACHIEVING MOMS
There is a reason that motherhood just feels different.
Pregnancy and postpartum can change how you think, feel, respond and move through the world. Our guide "Your Changing Brain, Not Broken" explores what is happening beneath the surface and how understanding our changing brain can help you work with it instead of wondering why you don’t feel like your old self.

Are you struggling with division of labor in your home?
Sometimes, the exhaustion you’re feeling individually is deeply tied to the friction in your home.
